In fact, that's just a small part of what it does, like the DRPX. Otherwise for all practical purposes they are identical (functioonal) devices. The PX has one less stereo crossover output and one less band of parametric on the low out. The DRPX and DRPA contain essentially the same identical processing. some do like the PRX but a lot include really lackluster crossovers or none at all. Many do not include a suitable crossover. Many powered speakers include a variety of processing, but not all do. Doesn't mean there's not a whole bunch of other likely candidates for this product that do not own powered speakers. They are marketed towards powered speaker users since they represent the biggestpotential market for a device such as this. I started to buy one, but tried it out,didnt like it. I dont like the driverack anyway,so it dont matter to me. Non powered is not that way, you have to set and create. True, there is no functional difference between non and powered, they both deliver sound.īut, the powered stuff is different, limiters,delays,xovers,correct amp settings, all of this is done for you, just plug and play.

Then the Powered stuff came along and they decided they needed to update the PA to accomadate the already xovered powered cabinets, so they just created the PX.Right or wrong? I'm not as smart as some, especially when it comes to calculating numbers for all of that sound stuff that a majority of us dont understand anyway, we just use our ears. They made it,same company owns JBL,its suppose to be taylored to Crown and JBL, so you would think they know what they are doing.I dont know,
There is alot of marketing dribble in everything.Who do you believe? There is no functional difference between powered systems and non-powered systems when you look at the amplifier as part of the speaker rather than stand alone.
