Remasters: Some games just get remastered with graphical touch-ups, audio adjustments and maybe some extra modes. Though sometimes emulation might even enhanced the experience like have games play in higher resolutions or faster speed just like with backwards compatibility on PS5 and Xbox Series console.

Like owners of Mega Man X3 on SNES had a gold mine in there hands if the kept the box in good shape, manual and obviously the game it self because that game goes for a lot of money on eBay. I would only say that emulation is good as long as you don't expect a 100% recreation of the original experience and a great method to play those games now or wanted a convenient version without having to pull out your old systems or wanted those original copies to stay in tip top shape.
